For free or low cost
- Go for a soda or ice cream
- Exercise, walk in the park, or ride bikes
- Go to the mall or airport
- Make a snowman or go sledding
- Go on a photo shoot or make a video
- Visit a college
- Go fishing
- Make a kite and then fly it
- Give mentee lessons in something you know (drums, guitar, woodworking, sewing, etc.)
- Go swimming
To do at home or just hanging out
- Read a book
- Bake or cook a meal together
- Make something (model airplane, quilt, etc.)
- Do homework
- Rent a video and discuss it
- Play computer games
- Go on errands together
