Summer Bucket List

Mentors and Mentees will have a blast completing the Summer Bucket list. With four categories to stretch you out of your comfort zone, it’s a resource to last all summer long. You can print your bucket list at a local library for free. Need a copy? Ask your mentoring specialist.

The Bucket list has fun ideas for learning, creativity, movement and conversation. You can also come up with your own fun ideas!

BONUS: Complete the items in the workbook and earn $25 for summer fun!

Building Blocks for Success

When: Tuesdays from 1-2:30 p.m., June 25-July 16

Do you want to set yourself up for long-term success and put yourself ahead of your peers? Are you tired of struggling to keep track of assignments or not knowing how to make your voice heard during conflict? Join us as we work through foundational skills that will empower you to pursue success. We’ll collaboratively work through how to stay organized, communicate effectively, and achieve your goals. We’ll meet online once a week for 4 weeks along with 1:1 weekly meetings with a coach. There will be one group activity and an activity to work on with your mentor!

Discover Your Purpose

When: Tuesdays from 3-4:30 p.m., June 25-July 16

When you understand who you are and have the tools you need to make your dreams a reality, the future is bright! Join us to explore your personal strengths, how to be mindful and resilient, dream big, and make those dreams happen through strategic goals. This workshop is for mentees who are 14-18. We’ll meet online once a week for 4 weeks along with 1:1 weekly meetings with a coach. There will be one group activity and an activity to work on with your mentor!

Awe & Identity: Expressive Writing 101

When: Thursdays from 1-2:30 p.m., June 27- July 25 (skipping the week of July 4)

Your voice can make a positive impact in this world! This online workshop is designed for writers seeking to channel their emotions, thoughts, and imaginations into powerful written works. We will meet online for the first three weeks; our last meeting will be an in-person workshop! You will also have 1:1 weekly “office hours” to ask questions and work on your writing.

EmpowHER: Women in Sport

When: Tuesdays from 1-2:30 p.m., June 25-July 16

Are you a female athlete wanting to get ahead this summer? This four-week course will equip you to be your best as we set goals, practice mental skills, and define how hope applies to athletics. While this course is designed for female athletes, it is open to any female who would be interested in what the course covers. No physical activity is required for this workshop. We’ll meet virtually each week and have 1:1 meetings to work on skills together.

A Teen Job You'll Actually Like

When: Tuesdays from 2-3:30 p.m., June 18-July 16 (skipping the week of July 4)

Would you like a roadmap and ultimate guide to getting a great teen job that you actually like? Discover what makes you tick and how to turn it into a job you’ll love. We’ll help you figure out your strengths and interests, so you can find a job that’s not just a paycheck, but also a chance to learn and have fun.

Whether you’re looking for something new or want to make your current job better, this workshop will spark ideas to help you get on the pathway to a job you like and appreciate! This workshop is for mentees ages 14-17. We will meet online and you’ll also meet with your 1:1 job coach each week!

Masterpiece Mondays

When: Mondays from 2-3:30 p.m., June 17-July 22 (skipping the week of July 4)

Join other Save Our Youth mentees, in this online paint club. No experience is necessary, and supplies are provided. Join our online paint club for five weeks of acrylic painting fun! We’ll explore cool techniques from famous artists, paint together, and wrap up with a meet-up at the Denver Art Museum. Get your brushes ready for a creative adventure like no other!
